Join us for a two-part seminar presented by Kathryn Whitaker of Calibrate Legal and Tiffany Zeigler of Alston & Bird LLP as they speak about LMA’s Body of Knowledge (BOK) and the profound benefits this LMA resource has on professional development.
From the days of LMA’s original core competencies to today’s robust BOK, legal marketing professional Kathryn Whitaker has used these resources to help plan her firm’s marketing roadmap and manage her team’s professional development activities. She will cover how using these industry standards helps validate the increased sophistication and maturity of the marketing and business development function and offer practical steps for how to use them in your firm.
When LMA updated it’s BOK, the Alston & Bird marketing team took full advantage of the solid template it provided for creating measurable competencies for their legal marketing professionals. Led by Tiffany Zeigler, a small committee converted LMA’s BOK to become the basis for reviews of all positions within the team including graphics, CRM, events, technology, PR, as well as traditional business development roles. Tiffany will discuss how this tool is used in all parts of a person’s review and development while they are at Alston, including the purposeful intention of empowering coordinators to embrace their own career trajectory.
