My passion is to help individuals and organizations to develop and grow to their fullest potential. I am inspired by those who are committed to this journey and are willing to put in the hard work, to get comfortable in the uncomfortable, in order to lead others.

Responsibilities

  • Place senior and executive talent in HR, Legal Recruiting and Professional Development roles
  • Advise law firm clients seeking to elevate their talent and organizational strategies
  • Champion HR thought leadership

Carol Crawford, Calibrate Legal’s Managing Director, is committed to elevating senior level professionals through placement in high impact roles and by maximizing their leadership potential. With over two decades of experience strategically leading the law firm HR function, she has developed a deep understanding of both the practice of law and the business of running a law firm. She brings this knowledge and insight into the conversations and decisions that drive her every day work.

In her role as an executive search consultant, Carol focuses on placing senior level professionals in HR, Recruiting and Talent Development in law firms. As a client advisor, she partners with law firm leaders to equip them and their teams with the tools they need to be and lead the change needed to propel their firms into the next-generation of legal services.

Carol spent 17 years with McKenna Long & Aldridge, which grew during her tenure from a mid-size regional firm to an Am Law 100 firm with an international presence. She left McKenna in early 2014 to pursue an opportunity to serve as the VP of People Services at Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, where she provided organizational guidance and oversight of all human resources functions, including strategic human capital support. As a result, Carol brings an added perspective from outside the legal community, particularly in the areas of coaching and leadership development.

While serving as an in-house HR leader, she was active in the:

  • Association of Legal Administrators
  • Society of Human Resource Management
  • Law Firm HR Roundtable
  • HR Leadership Forum

Carol holds a BS in Business with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Capella University.  She maintains a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation through the HR Certification Institute as well as the Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation from the Society for Human Resources Management.  Carol is certified as a RightPathÔ  facilitator for individual assessment, leadership and team development tools.

Carol and her husband reside in the suburbs of Atlanta where she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, hiking, painting, camping and cultivating her flower and vegetable garden.
